Birdwatcher’s (Guide to Albania)

Përshkrimi

In this book, I have poured all my knowledge and experience on the birds of Albania, gathered from over a decade of intensive work as an ornithologist and bird guide in the country. I provide detailed information for every bird species in Albania, whether common or rare, including where, when, and how each species can be seen. In other words, this book is designed to help birdwatchers visiting Albania understand which species they might encounter, the likelihood of spotting each one, and the best locations and times to observe them. To make the book accessible to a wider audience, I have included the common names of each species in English, French, German, and Spanish apart from the scientific names. Additionally, the book features a general chapter where I briefly describe Albania’s natural heritage and some of its most distinctive sites. While I don’t focus specifically on bird descriptions in this chapter, as those are covered in the main content, I do mention key wildlife species to give readers a broader understanding of what each site has to offer.
